A Showgirl and a Golden Muse: Harlem Perfume Co. Releases Sephora Exclusives

Harlem Perfume Co. was no overnight success, but it has come a long way in a very short time. An offshoot of what became the wildly popular Harlem Candle Co., founded by former travel blogger Teri Johnson, its very first liquid perfume, Billie, was released in 2022.

Barely three years later, there are eight fragrances in the line, and Harlem Perfume Co. can now be found at Sephora.com with their two new Sephora-exclusive releases, Golden Muse and Showgirl, as well as Langston – the same standby that’s been in the Harlem fragrance lineup since 2023, now in a sky-blue bottle for Sephora.

Both new fragrances are a bit of a departure from the signature Harlem style – smoky sweetness, heady florals, dark rooms, and jazz – a clear olive branch to the younger, trendy Sephora shoppers, but the Harlem DNA is still present.
